(Русский) Проект ” Путешествие по осенней Латгалии”
In collaboration with the „Administration of Latvian Environmental Protection Fund” from 1st September 2014 to 31st October 2014, the Association had arranged 4 (four) trips to various places of Latgale for children with special needs.
The main aim of the project „Visit the autumnal Latgale” was to promote the understanding of children with special needs about their surrounding environment and nature in general, problems related to it, as well as to motivate them to actively protecting natural resources and to get acquainted themselves with most beautiful places of Latgale and its varied nature.
The excursions were held by the assistance of a professional tour guide. There were visited castle mounds, lakes, natural trails and country park, as well as various buildings, having architectural and artistic value, in Ludza, Kārsava, Daugavpils, Preiļi, Riebiņi and Līvāni municipalities. Children were provided with a detailed information concerning visited objects, as well as they were involved in discussions regarding nature and surrounding environment, thus updating the significance of this aspect within context of personal and public life.
