Ādams and Aleksandra’s trip to St. Petersburg.

A little bit about the trip to the centre “Prognoz”. After the consultation with the neurologist Aleksandrs Munkujevs who advised us to go to this centre in St. Petersburg, little by little we started to prepare for the journey. Owing to good people, we were able to get there in order Ādams and Aleksandra could undergo a treatment course.

On the first day we had medical assessment performed by specialists. I can say just one thing – I was able to compare what a true professional in the field means… Ādams was referred for such procedures as TOMATIS, MICROPOLARIZATION, ABA THERAPY; he underwent electroencephalography, Doppler sonography of brain, neck, and spine blood-vessels. Aleksandra was referred for TOMATIS, overnight EEG monitoring. Our epilepsy determined in LV was withdrawn and autism was also excluded by setting a different diagnosis. Both children are able to speak, we only need to find a good speech therapist here in Latvia capable of ensuring intense everyday work with Ādams and Aleksandra. We would be truly grateful if anyone could recommend us a good speech therapist who could help my children…

I am very grateful for this opportunity. Many thanks to the association “Autisma atbalsta punkts Rēzeknē” (“Autism Support Centre in Rēzekne”) for organizing this trip. And even more thanks to all those who donated, who wrote and called, thanks for being with us also during the trip, for your interest and support. I am glad that there are so many good people, thank you for your good thoughts, words, and deeds…
