project “Support for Organising Activities and Consultations with Specialists for Children with Special Needs and their Parents in the Latgale Region’
From September 1 until December 31, 2022 Society “Autism Support Centre in Rēzekne”, in cooperation with foundation Ziedot.lv and JSC “AS Latvenergo”, is implementing a project “Support for Organising Activities and Consultations with Specialists for Children with Special Needs and their Parents in the Latgale Region’.
The project aim is, by providing consultations with different specialists to children with special needs (primarily with autism spectrum disorder) and their parents, to mitigate the consequences created by the disorder and to help with socialisation.
The following activities will be provided within the project:
- Individual consultations with a special education teacher, social pedagogue, speech and language pathologist, as well as music therapy sessions.
- Theatre club and self-defence group sessions.
