Trip of associations “Autisma atbalsta punkts Rēzeknē” to waterpark Līvu Akvaparks

This year summer does not spoil us with hot and sunny weather so as to enjoy outdoor recreation near water, that is why children from associations “Autisma atbalsta punkts Rēzeknē” (“Autism Support Centre in Rēzekne”) and “Saulesstars” (“Sunbeam”) together with their parents went to Līvu Akvaparks on early morning of August 2. On their way to the entertainment and recreation place they visited Koknese open-air stage near the Daugava where they had some rest, went for a walk and gathered strength for the rest of the trip.

Four hours full of joy and excitement were spent in Līvu Akvaparks. Children were delighted to take a ride in the artificially created river; they tried out tubes of various length and speed as well as other amusements offered by the leisure park together with their parents. Relaxation in saunas, bubble baths, and visit of the salt room offered some short rest to recover their breath and plunge once again to enjoy water. Particular excitement was caused by the pool of artificial waves that tossed and swung both grown-up and little swimmers.

Children and their parents were truly glad and grateful for the opportunity to go and have some rest with their families in the waterpark Līvu Akvaparks. We want to express our gratitude to the social service of Rezekne City Council for the provided transport, to Andris Filipenoks for the offered hot morning pastries, to the administration of Līvu Akvaparks for the created opportunity to use their services for reduced price. Many thanks to all the parents who were not scared by difficulties and went to this trip as well as to Sandra and Edgars for the organization of this trip.
